Join us at the Alto da Figueira field station!

New field station launched
A state-of-the-art field station, only 2.5 hours away from Rio de Janeiro (near Nova Friburgo), was recently built and can now host up to 30 researchers and visitors, with some capacity for ecotourists. It supports cutting-edge biodiversity research, conservation, and education and serves as the headquarters of the Atlantic Forest Research and Conservation Alliance (ARAÇÁ). It serves as an inspiring meeting platform for scientists, students, communities, and partners committed to conserving this incredibly beautiful and complex forest ecosystem.
